As part of the endeavours made by the Federation of the Universities of the Islamic World (FUIW) to enhance the level of university researches and link them to the developmental and civilizational requirements of the Islamic world; in recognition of scientists' contributions and in a bid to encourage researchers in the Member Universities to highlight their efforts and output in the field of scientific research, the Federation, in collaboration with Imam Muhammad Ibn Saud Islamic University (Kingdom of Saudi Arabia), has dedicated a prize for university research to be awarded based on the whole set of works produced by the competing researchers throughout their academic years, including books, academic researches and field studies. In this connection, the General Secretariat of the Federation is pleased to announce the opening of nominations for the FUIW's 2011 Prize for University Research on the theme "Obstacles to creation and ways to promote it in the Universities of the Islamic World". Nominations and researches should be submitted before December 10th, 2011, according to the terms and information required in the enclosed sheet.
